The Night Before a Test Written By: Maria Paniagua

The Night Before the Test

1. Find a quiet place to study: Make sure it's a well lit area because sometimes when it is too dark, your brain will start thinking it is time to sleep.  Remove yourself from other distractions.
2. Set your alarm: If you wake up early, it can help you to prepare and organize yourself.
3. Eat something healthy: It can keep you awake; it can also maintain your mind focus.
4. Sleep early so you won´t be tired and feel sleepy during the test.
5. Hydrate: Hydration can keep you fresh and awake.
6. Laugh: watch a comedy show; it can relax you and lower your stress.
7. Know when to stop. If you study too much you will overthink it and stress even more.
8. Take a bath at night: It will help you to relax and will clear your mind.
9. Be positive: Think positively and don’t embrace failure as an outcome; you will make a better grade.
10. Exercise: A little light stretching and exercise will help you fall asleep faster and sleep soundly through the night; this will also help you not wake up with a headache or in a bad mood.
